Tattersalls, Emirates Racing Authority Set Online Sale

In a landmark collaboration, Tattersalls Online and the Emirates Racing Authority have announced Nov. 20 a groundbreaking online auction of horses in training in the United Arab Emirates which will take place Nov. 24-27.

The Emirates Racing Authority Online Sale will be conducted under the conditions of the Emirates Racing Authority and hosted on the Tattersalls Online platform at www.tattersallsonline.com.

As the first online auction to be held by the Emirates Racing Authority, the sale marks a milestone for the region’s racing industry and represents a significant evolution in the world of digital bloodstock trading. The unique online event is set to feature 15 lots including 13 Thoroughbreds and two Purebred Arabians and has been supported by leading stables and trainers with drafts featuring from Dubai Racing Club, Michael Costa, Ibrahim Al Hadrami, Ahmad bin Harmash, and champion trainer Bhupat Seemar.

“The ERA Online Sale marks another important development for Tattersalls Online and for the international bloodstock market,” said Katherine Sheridan, Tattersalls online sales manager. “We are proud to host this sale on behalf of the Emirates Racing Authority. This initiative enhances the accessibility of the UAE’s racing talent and promotes the region’s vibrant racing industry. The Tattersalls Online platform offers unrivalled reach and confidence and this sale presents another exciting opportunity to broaden the pathways of international bloodstock trade.”

H.E. Mohammed Al Shehhi, general manager and board member of the Emirates Racing Authority also commented: “The ERA Online Sale marks an important advancement for UAE racing. Partnering with Tattersalls Online gives both the ERA and owners far greater flexibility to sell horses throughout the season, rather than waiting for a traditional end-of-season sale. This initiative enhances accessibility, improves transparency, and supports the continued growth of our racing industry.”
