Jack Osbourne’s time in the jungle has been packed to the brim with drama so far, from simmering tensions with fellow campmate Kelly Brook to tears on camera.

The son of Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne is still in the throes of grief over the tragic death of his rocker dad earlier this year, and concerns have been raised about the star in camp as he shows signs of struggle.

Jack, 40, skyrocketed to fame with his younger sister Kelly in the early Noughties, all thanks to his family’s reality TV show, The Osbournes. The hit series followed the lives of the rockstar kids, Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy, who died in July just weeks after his final gig.

Jack’s time in the I’m A Celeb camp has been tumultous from the start after he was flown in at the final hour to replace another star who seemingly pulled out of the show. “I only knew I was coming out here like 10 days ago. So it was literally 10 days,” he told The Mirror. He spent the final days loading up on comfort food, saying: “I stocked up on some chocolate digestives and some Pot Noodles… I’m going to live the high life.”

Away from tucking into all of his home comforts, Jack also gave IAC bosses a strict rule about what he is willing to discuss on TV. Asked whether he will open up during the late-night chats in camp, Jack told us before the show kicked off: “I mean, it’s hard not to. I mean, I’ve done my fair share of projects with people in situations like this, like Adrenaline Junkie or things like that. I think it’s just a natural part of bonding with people.

“But obviously there are certain things that I probably won’t discuss on a nationally televised TV show that’s filmed 24/7,” he added, hinting that he didn’t want to discuss his dad’s death while on the show.

Despite Jack’s warning, he must be finding the close-knit jungle atmosphere cathartic, as he quickly opened up about his father Ozzy in tear-jerking scenes. During a heart to heart with his co-star, Lisa Riley, Jack became emotional discussing the legendary rocker.

“It was definitely a shock,” he said. “I mean, we knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock, I mean, we didn’t know it would be that quick… It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, ‘Alright, I’m done.'”

Jack explained that his dad had done “good” during his discussion with Lisa. The tears started rolling when Emmerdale actress asked him what his father would think of him appearing on the ITV show. “He would be so supportive of this,” he said while wiping away his tears.

He told Lisa that the grief he was experiencing was a “weird thing.” While sitting in the Bush Telegraph, away from his campmates, Jack opened up on his grief, explaining: “I’m still navigating it all, it’s been three, nearly four months, and it’s still pretty fresh.”

“He got sick when my oldest daughter was seven, my youngest ones, they went to a few of his shows but they don’t have much memory of it,” he said, explaining it was “funny,” seeing his childrens reaction to Ozzy on stage at Villa Park.

Jack has the full blessing of his mum, Sharon, and sister, Kelly, to appear in the jungle – with the iconic family tuning in to watch him on the show. He confessed that leaving his family, who are still grieving, will be incredibly difficult for him. “It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind,” Jack said.

With emotions riding high, and tensions brewing with co-star Kelly Brook, ITV bosses are said to be ‘intensely’ Jack e after his behaviour in the jungle sparked concern amongst fans. I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked guests Alison Hammond and Leigh Francis have wondered if his time on the show has come too soon after Ozzy’s death.

Fears were raised after Jack’s tearful chat with Lisa. These concerns only grew after a squabble erupted between Jack and fellow campmate Kelly Brook. Jack was seen snapping at Kelly after she cut the potatoes for dinner wrong, making the ex model emotional.

Now, The Sun have reported that ITV bosses are worried too. A source told the publication that Jack is being ‘intensely’ monitored. “Bosses are monitoring his situation intensely,” they said. “ITV has strong duty of care procedures in place and producers do their utmost to ensure campmates are OK 24/7 — but never more so than in situations like this.”

The awkward moment between Kelly and Jack came when the Loose Women star felt like he pushed his way into taking over preparing the campmate’s dinner of eel. Jack was seen asking Kelly if she wanted him to help her prepare the meal as he noticed that she was gagging and retching over the smell.

And Jack’s sister has not held back on her feelings towards Brook. Addressing the Kelly star in a rant on social media, she said: “Kelly Brook… I don’t think I like you. Elbowing out of the way to get to the fish… you’re so performative, with all the gagging and the over‑dramatics. You bring out my big‑sister vibes where I want to attack you because I feel like you’re a bit of a bully.”
