IndiGo flight status tracker: Cancellations reported at Coimbatore, Chandigarh – Check delays, disruptions at major airports – Airlines/Aviation News

IndiGo is slowly moving towards stabilising its flight operations after several days of delays and cancellations. While the airline says operations are getting back to normal, disruptions continued on Friday as well. IndiGo operated around 2,000 flights under its revised “scaled down” schedule, but still cancelled many services.

On Friday, about 160 flights were cancelled from Delhi and Bengaluru airports due to ongoing operational issues. This followed more than 200 cancellations from the same two airports a day earlier on Thursday.

Amid the crisis, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday removed four Flight Operations Inspectors (FOIs) over the disruptions at the Gurugram-based airline. Civil aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu blamed IndiGo’s “gross mismanagement” and problems with its crew rostering system for the crisis, which affected millions of passengers this month.

IndiGo flight status at Delhi Airport

At Delhi Airport, flight operations are currently normal. In an early morning update, the airport said that low visibility procedures are in place and advised passengers to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight information.

Even after the disruption, IndiGo has maintained that there is no shortage of pilots. However, the DGCA has directed the airline to speed up its pilot hiring process. The aviation regulator’s action came alongside the removal of four FOIs over the operational lapses.

IndiGo also said it is identifying flights where passengers were badly affected and stranded at airports between December 3 and 5 due to large-scale cancellations and delays. The airline said it will contact affected customers in January 2026 to provide compensation.

“We are currently in the process of identifying flights where customers were severely impacted and stranded at the airports (on 3/4/5 December 2025). We will be reaching out to all such customers in January so that compensation can be extended smoothly. In our current estimation, will be in excess of ₹500 crores to customers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure time and/or to customers severely stranded at certain airports,” the airline said.
