Fox News halted for breaking alert as Donald Trump admits ‘it’s over’ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Fox News was brought to a halt for more breaking news about US president Donald Trump, as he said: “It’s over.” The live news channel aired a series of bulletins about Trump, the first of which related to his feelings on the New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. In relation to Mamdani, Trump said: “I met with a man who’s a very rational person.

“I met with a man who really wants to see New York be great again, and I can say again because New York was great. When I came down to Washington initially, the city was so hot and was doing great. We were having some telltale signs of problems because we had a mayor that was not doing a great job, but still… it was moving along.

“It really went pretty bad. I think he can bring it back. The question is, will he bring it back all the way? Will he bring it back greater than ever before, which I guarantee is his wish. I think he wants to make it greater than ever before. And if he can, I’ll be out there cheering for him.”

Within a matter of hours, however, the programme had more breaking news to share, as Trump revoked deportation protections for Somali immigrants in Minnesota.

He wrote on his social media site Truth Social: “Minnesota, under Governor Waltz, is a hub of fraudulent money laundering activity. I am, as President of the United States, hereby terminating, effective immediately, the Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program) for Somalis in Minnesota.

“Somali gangs are terrorising the people of that great state, and BILLIONS of dollars are missing. Send them back to where they came from. It’s OVER! President DJT.”

The post garnered a mixed reaction, with one X user tweeting in response: “You can’t destroy their country and deport them at the same time… where are they supposed to go?”

Another said: “TPS was never meant to be permanent. Trump is enforcing the law and ending years of Washington looking the other way.”
