Emirates to operate A350 on all Baghdad flights from January 2026

Emirates will operate its Airbus A350 aircraft across all seven weekly flights to Baghdad starting January 1 2026, replacing the Boeing 777 currently used on part of the route, the carrier announced on Monday.

The move standardises the airline’s Iraq operations on its newest wide-body type with the A350 set to take over flights EK943/944 which currently run four times a week on the 777.

Emirates already flies the A350 to Baghdad on EK941/942 introduced in August.

Configured in three classes, the Emirates A350 features 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy seats.

The aircraft also offers quieter cabins, wider aisles, and lighting designed to minimise jet lag, alongside the airline’s ICE entertainment system.

Emirates said the deployment reinforces its long-term commitment to Iraq and the wider region.
