The broadcast culminates in CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, offering viewers a front-row seat to Abu Dhabi’s cultural and entertainment highlights.

Coverage kicks off at 4.10pm GST on 31 December, when CNN Abu Dhabi anchor Becky Anderson welcomes New York’s John Berman on his inaugural visit to the emirate, and lets him dive headfirst into a whirlwind of challenges and adventures across the city.

The duo will take viewers on high-octane experiences like never before: racing the world’s fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, testing their driving skills in Formula 3000 cars at Yas Marina Circuit, and exploring the dunes, falconry, and cultural treasures of the Liwa Festival.

Berman even embarks on a scavenger hunt across Abu Dhabi’s iconic cultural landmarks, from the newly opened Natural History Museum and Zayed National Museum to the Louvre Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. From 9pm to 11.45pm GST, Anderson and Berman host a special live show from the stunning Saadiyat Nights, where Alicia Keys performs live.

There will also be dancing robots and live check-ins with the Sheikh Zayed Festival, which aims to break the Guinness World Record for the longest fireworks display.

This landmark broadcast is part of CNN’s global New Year’s Eve coverage, which kicks off at 4pm GST, giving audiences worldwide a chance to celebrate and witness the most spectacular moments from around the globe, with Abu Dhabi making its sensational debut on the world stage.
