Who is the owner of FlyExpress? Hyderabad-based airline gets approval to launch new airline in India after…

The central government has approved new airlines to operate in India, following a series of meetings with aspiring carriers. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Wednesday said he met teams from Shankh Air, Al Hind Air, and FlyExpress over the past week, noting that Shankh Air had already received its no-objection certificate (NOC), while Al Hind Air and FlyExpress were granted their NOCs this week. The development comes in the wake of recent disruptions, including the cancellation of over 4,000 IndiGo flights in the first week of December that had caused widespread chaos.

“Over the last one week, pleased to have met teams from new airlines aspiring to take wings in Indian skies–Shankh Air, Al Hind Air and FlyExpress. While Shankh Air has already got the no objection certificate (NOC) from the ministry, Al Hind Air and FlyExpress have received their NOCs this week,” Naidu wrote on X.

Who is the owner of FlyExpress?

FlyExpress is a new airline that has recently started operating in India. It is the latest airline to receive NCO from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It is one of the new companies aimed at increasing competition and improving connectivity to different regions. It is a Hyderabad‑based enterprise majorly focused on courier and cargo operations, as mentioned in their website. It offers affordable logistics services from India to destinations worldwide. Fly Express delivers documents, parcels, food products, medicines, luggage, household items, and industrial goods to countries including the USA, UK, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Dubai, and France.

    Ownership and background

FlyExpress is backed by partners with extensive experience in the courier and cargo business, providing the logistical expertise necessary to manage aircraft operations and regional supply chains. The airline’s headquarters is located in Begumpet, Hyderabad which is expected to serve as its main operational hub. Currently, FlyExpress is in its pre-operational stage. Following the NOC, the airline must obtain an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) before it can start scheduled commercial flights.

Information about FlyExpress Courier and Cargo Company is limited, though its head has been identified as Konkati Suresh, as reported by Amar Ujala. Currently, more details regarding its ownership, corporate background, fleet of aircraft, and routes are unavailable. However, the airline does have a website, which states that services will begin soon.
