Norwegian Cruise Line is doubling down on tributes to music legends with the headline entertainment productions for its newest ships.
After debuting “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince,” aboard Norwegian Aqua in April, the cruise line just revealed that it’s been working on a tribute to another global music icon for Aqua’s sister ship, Norwegian Luna, which launches in April 2026 from Miami.
The new ship will feature a lively entertainment lineup designed to appeal to music lovers, pop culture enthusiasts, and multigenerational families with an array of original, immersive productions developed by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ Creative Studios in Tampa, Fla.

Elton John tribute show will headline Norwegian Luna’s entertainment
Leading Norwegian Luna’s immersive entertainment lineup is “Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John,” a high-energy, concert-style Elton John tribute show. Audiences will enjoy hits like “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Bennie and the Jets,” and “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” performed with powerhouse vocals, dazzling choreography, and fashion-forward costumes that pay homage to Elton’s signature style.
Set on a concert-inspired stage with four different grand pianos, the show features vibrant LED visuals with archival footage of the singer’s iconic performances, as well as interactive elements to immerse audiences in the music and spirit of one of the most iconic performers of all time.

In addition to celebrating Elton John, Norwegian Cruise Line is bringing classic rock anthems and the spirit of the 1970s to the main stage in the Luna Theater with a brand-new show, “Syd Norman’s Presents: A Tribute to Eagles.” Live music experiences in the Syd Norman’s Pour House bar and entertainment space are also getting an upgrade aboard Norwegian Luna with new additions, including a throwback ’90s set and Live Band Karaoke.
Futuristic production will introduce Norwegian’s first original character
Norwegian Luna will also debut an original sci-fi show that blends Cirque artistry with mixed reality visuals.
Inspired by the celestial spirit of Norwegian Luna, “HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder” uses cutting-edge 3D mapping, multi-sensory video projection, and a fully original score to transport audiences to a futuristic world. The production features four elite gymnasts performing gravity-defying acts set against a backdrop of mesmerizing visuals and sci-fi-inspired costumes designed by Guy Brassard, a longtime collaborator with Cirque du Soleil.
The show will even extend beyond the stage with interactive meet-and-greet experiences around the ship featuring HIKO, Norwegian’s first original onboard character.

New Under-the-Sea Festival will enhance Norwegian’s family entertainment
Norwegian Cruise Line has also set out to delight families vacationing aboard Norwegian Luna with a new original experience developed in-house and curated specifically for children, “Sea of Discovery! An Under-the-Sea Festival.”
Inspired by nostalgic field day activities, the family event follows an inquisitive fish on an interactive adventure through the ocean. With glow games, whimsical costumes, awe-inspiring visuals, “Sea of Discovery! An Under-the-Sea Festival” invites families to play, learn, and connect in a hands-on showcase of imagination.
‘LunaTique’ will offer a daring party experience for adults
For adults, Norwegian Luna will debut “LunaTique,” an exclusive after-hours experience for passengers 21 and older at The Improv at Sea venue. Inspired by Las Vegas nightlife, “LunaTique,” will add excitement with neon aesthetics, signature cocktails, and character-driven performances featuring reimagined circus personas.
Nightclub programming in The Luna Theater & Club will include a new Norwegian Luna Eclipse Party, a festival-inspired glow party, as well as “Planetdisco,” an electrifying classic disco experience.
Additionally, two new themed deck parties, Island Nights and Latin LIVE!, will spice up evenings at sea aboard the new ship.
