Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella doesn’t like the word AI, here’s why – Technology News

As the world seems to go crazy around AI, Satya Nadella says that he is not very fond of the term Artificial Intelligence. News comes in that the Microsoft CEO offered a contrasting view on  this human-computer interaction.

After looking at the wide adaptation of AI, Satya Nadella seems to be going against the flow. Referring to the practice of attributing human qualities to machines, he said, “I don’t like anthropomorphizing AI. I sort of believe it’s a tool.”

What do Satya Nadella has to say about ‘AI”

“It has got intelligence, if you want to give it that moniker, but it’s not the same intelligence that I have,” says Satya Nadella.

Earlier Satya Nadella had made several comments around Artificial Intelligence. Early reports suggest that once he had said that ‘AI needs to be treated as a tool, not more than that!’

    AI is a ‘different intelligence,’!

Reportedly, the term “artificial intelligence” itself was coined in the 1950s. OIn regards to this “I think one of the most unfortunate names is ‘artificial intelligence’ — I wish we had called it ‘different intelligence’. Because I have my intelligence. I don’t need any artificial intelligence,” Satya Nadella explained.

Furthermore, Satya Nadella also explained that the capabilities displayed by AI software do not have the potential to be equivalent to human intelligence.  “It has got intelligence, if you want to give it that moniker, but it’s not the same intelligence that I have,” Nadella explained further.
