IndiGo flight status check: Operations near normalcy after fog chaos, only two flights cancelled today – Airlines/Aviation News

IndiGo passengers finally saw some relief on Monday as the airline reported just two flight cancellations on December 22. According to the latest flight status update from the airline’s website, the two cancelled IndiGo services include flight 6E 6409 operating from Pune to New Delhi and flight 6E 721 on the Pune-Amritsar route. Both flights were scheduled for December 22 and are part of the airline’s limited list of cancellations for the day, indicating a near-normal operating scenario compared to recent disruptions.

IndiGo had been dealing with widespread flight delays and frequent cancellations for several days due to dense fog and poor visibility, which disrupted flight schedules across many parts of northern and eastern India.

IndiGo flight cancellations for December 22

Flight Number Sector (City Names) Date
6E 6409 Pune – New Delhi 22 December 2025
6E 721 Pune – Amritsar 22 December 2025

Major airports such as Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar, which were among the worst affected during the fog spell, have seen a sharp reduction in cancellations today. Pune Airport, from where both cancelled flights were scheduled to depart, is the only major airport witnessing confirmed IndiGo cancellations in the latest update.

Over the past several days, dense fog led to frequent delays and cancellations, particularly on early morning flights to and from north Indian airports.

Passengers are still advised to keep a close check on flight status through IndiGo’s official channels, especially for early departures.

IndiGo issues weather warning for Srinagar

However, IndiGo has cautioned that weather-related disruptions have not fully eased in all regions. In a travel advisory issued on December 21, the airline said dense fog in Srinagar continues to impact visibility, affecting flights operating to and from the Srinagar airport. IndiGo noted that as weather conditions evolve, some services may experience delays, while a few flights could be cancelled depending on clearance and operational feasibility.

“Dense fog in #Srinagar continues to affect visibility, impacting flights operating to and from #Srinagar As conditions evolve, some services may experience delays, and a few may need to be cancelled depending on clearance and operational feasibility,” the advisory reads.

The airline has advised passengers travelling on Srinagar routes to check the latest flight status on IndiGo’s website or mobile app before heading to the airport. In case of cancellations, passengers have been asked to reschedule their journey or claim a refund through the airline’s Plan B option.
