How to Check IndiGo Flight Status
- Check Flight Status – Use IndiGo’s website or app under “Manage Booking” with your PNR to confirm if your flight is cancelled.
- Choose Option – Decide whether to claim a full refund or rebook on the next available flight at no extra cost.
- Submit Refund Request – Fill in details on IndiGo’s refund page (PNR, email, passenger info) and submit.
Why IndiGo Flights are Cancelled?
Early this week, IndiGo began facing troubles in managing flight schedules. Amid technical and other issues, the biggest challenge for IndiGo turned out to be pilots’ deployment.
New rules called Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) limit the number of hours pilots and crew can work. Because of this, airlines now need more pilots and crew, which has led to changes in flight schedules and cancellations across their network.
Refund Processing
Online payment: Refund credited to the same card in 5–7 business days.
Cash booking: Visit the airport ticket counter with ticket and ID to claim.
Track & Contact – Monitor email for confirmation. If delayed beyond 7–10 days, contact IndiGo support or your travel agency for assistance.
DGCA Grants IndiGo Temporary Exemption
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation granted IndiGo Airlines a one-time temporary exemption from specific crew duty regulations to help stabilise flight operations and reduce passenger disruptions. The regulator said that the exemption covers provisions under Night Duty from 0000-0650 hours and restrictions on night operations of the revised Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) Civil Aviation Requirements Section 7 Series J Part III Rev 2, Phase-II, applicable to the airline’s A320 fleet, and is valid until February 10, 2026.
