IndiGo Flight Status Today Live News Updates: The government has directed IndiGo to trim its flight schedule by 10%, Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu announced on Tuesday. He said the move is intended to bring stability to the airline’s operations as it continues to face disruptions.IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers on Tuesday said the airline is “back on its feet” with flight operations fully normalised after last week’s disruption. Apologising for the “major operational issue”, he said teams have been working round the clock to minimise passenger inconvenience.

IndiGo Flight Cancellations: Meanwhile, IndiGo cancelled around 180 flights from Bengaluru and Hyderabad on Tuesday as the airline’s disruption entered its eighth straight day. According to sources, 121 flights were cancelled at Bengaluru airport (58 arrivals, 63 departures) and 58 at Hyderabad (14 arrivals, 44 departures).

IndiGo’s Monopoly: IndiGo has monopoly over 63 per cent of the routes it covers. In all, Indian airlines fly around 1,200 domestic routes, of which IndiGo has over 950 routes in operation. Notably, though, nearly 600 — or 63 per cent — of these are monopoly routes, and about 200 (21 per cent) are duopoly routes where IndiGo has just one competitor, as per data analysed by aviation analyst and former network planner Ameya Joshi.
