Social media star Angryginge was forced to continue on his livestream for six hours after his ex-girlfriend brutally dumped him via a text message
I’m A Celebrity star Angry Ginge got dumped on camera by his girlfriend as he filmed a live stream.
The 24-year-old social media star – whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle – opened up about his failed romance as he chatted to fellow campmate Ruby Wax as they had a heart-to-heart in the treehouse on Tuesday night.
Though he’s known for his pranks, Ginge said it wasn’t a hoax – and he unwittingly read out the dumping text live on air for all his followers to hear, prompting him to look crushed and try and fight back tears in the emotional moment.
He’s never revealed who the girl in question was – or what he sent her first – but picking up his phone in the clip from October 2022, Ginge told viewers: “Oh sorry, it’s just my girlfriend messaging my chat. Just let me reply to her really quick.”

Reading out her message, he said: “Why did you send me that? It looks f**king disgusting. We’re over.” Ginge’s face then dropped as he realised what had just happened, and he looked like he was about to cry as he dropped his phone.
Sharing what happened with Ruby, he told how he couldn’t stop the livestream and “had to carry on for more than six hours” feeling crushed.
Though he doesn’t look like your typical romantic type, the FIFA streamer from Salford, Greater Manchester also revealed he can turn on the charm when he wants to.
Before asking the woman who later dumped him to be his girlfriend, he said he laid “rose petals, from the front door all the way up the stairs and then it opened to my room. There’s a teddy bear, there’s a rose and then I officially asked her to be my girlfriend”.
After the brutal clip went out live, Ginge used it to get more views and later reposted it on TikTok with the caption: “Girlfriend breaks up with me on live stream”, with two crying emojis, adding: “So embarrassing.”
The post racked up 42,000 likes – but fans were a bit harsh in the comments with some saying they didn’t believe he really had a girlfriend. Bet they’re not laughing now he’s a millionaire…
One wrote: “Defo doesn’t have one.” Another posted: “U actually have one?” While a third mused: “Wonder what he sent her?”
Other fans were slightly more sympathetic, with one commenting: “Plenty more fish in the sea Ginge.” And some seemed keen to have a crack at Ginge themselves with one flirting: “Hi ginge I’m single in your area.” Another said: “There’s always me.” A third added: “Don’t worry ginge she didn’t know what she had till it was over.”
