I’m A Celebrity fans ‘obsessed’ after Angry Ginge swears at Ant during Bushtucker Trial

The Salford native wasn’t happy with one of the presenter’s comments on the ITV programme

I’m A Celebrity fans said that they’re ‘obsessed’ after Angry Ginge swore at Ant during the latest Bushtucker Trial on the ITV reality series.

Manchester streamer Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, has been one of the stars of the Ant and Dec programme, with a consistent highlight during the first week down under in Australia. Prior to joining the series, Ginge was best known for reacting to Manchester United games.

It was revealed on Saturday (November 22) that Ginge would be taking part in his third bushtucker trial, more than anyone else to date. ITV introduced a new rule this year which means no star can do more than two trials in a row.

Prior to meeting Ant and Dec on Sunday (November 23), Ginge was informed that he would be taking ‘Terror-flying tours’. Comedian Ruby Wax had an unusual good luck gift for Ginge as she unveiled some of her red underwear, she called ‘the lucky underpants’.

Ruby said: “I always wear red when I wanna, you know, pull off something.” A bemused Ginge asked: “You wanna give me your underwear?!” as Ruby put them in the front of his backpack before sending him on his way.

Once at the trial clearing, Ant and Dec explained that Ginge had to place his head in a series of head boxes, with each box transporting him to a different location. Once there he would have to release the stars using only his mouth or tongue.

Ginge was first transported to Egypt via the box as he gently put his head in the first hole to discover he was joined by lizards. Struggling to get the second of two stars on offer, Ant joked that ‘if nothing else this is going to be a great meme’.

Next, battling snakes in the Amazon rainforest, Ginge hit his head trying to put it in the hole, something he needed on multiple occasions. The Salford native noted ‘that wasn’t part of the trial’.

In further boxes were toads in Miami beach where he got 2/2 stars, rats in London 3/3 stars and finally spiders, as he faced them and crocodiles in the last box representing Australia, and he scored 2/3 available stars.

One hilarious moment in the trial was when Ant said that he was ‘in Australia’ when he entered the final box, only for Ginge to bite back: “I knew that 8 days ago d***head.”

Securing 10/12 stars, Ginger headed back to camp to share the news. As Ginge pretended he got just five stars secretly choosing to not reveal that he got ten until dinner, Ruby joked of her lucky pants: “Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. I’ll try them again.”

Those watching the episode at home rushed to X, previously known as Twitter, to explain why they couldn’t get enough of Ginge’s back and forth with the iconic presenting pair.

@Rosie12_1994 said: “#ImACeleb love ant and Dec’s back and forth with ginge bloody funny.” @thirlwclls added: “ant and dec laughing at the star hitting ginge in the head, such children #ImACeleb.”

@sallepage wrote: “Love ginge #ImACeleb . Only he could get away with calling Ant a d***head.Comedy gold.” @brvcebcnner posted: “ginge is just absolutely fantastic television, obsessed with his back and forth with ant & dec.”

@Sanassee commented: “That was a good trial and Ginge was hilarious. He has great banter with Ant and Dec. #ImACeleb.” @lewisa95 stated: “I would happily accept ginge as the winner #ImACeleb.”
