I’m A Celeb fans say Angry Ginge’s ‘mask has slipped’ as star ‘struggles’

I’m A Celebrity fans are worrying for Angry Ginge as they say changes in his behaviour, such as getting angry with campmates for eating out of cups, suggest he’s ‘struggling’ in the camp

Angry Ginge‘s fans are worrying for him in the I’m A Celeb camp, as his behaviour has left some thinking he’s “struggling” with camp life. The content creator has recently gotten angry with his fellow campmates, leading some to say his “mask has slipped”.

The YouTuber has so far been fairly calm and easygoing on the show, but on Monday’s episode, his behaviour changed and he was left raging at the campmates for using clean cups to eat out of, doubling the washing up.

At the beginning of Tuesday’s episode, that behaviour continued and he told the campmates off again after fuming in the Bush Telegraph. When alone, he said he was “not having it anymore”.

Fans noticed this change and took to X to share how much they didn’t like his recent actions. One wrote: “Anyone else having a change of mind on Ginge? I was a fan at first he was funny charming and very likeable Last few episodes I’v been changing my mind on him, he’s coming across as a whiny spoilt little boy.”

Fans think they’ve rumbled the real reason behind his change in demeanour. Rather than being actually about the cups, they think he is homesick. One wrote: “I feel like he’s the most homesick one there and that’s probably affecting his mood and behaviour a bit.”

Another agreed that they thought he was “struggling”. They added that the fellow campmates weren’t helping: “His head has gone down, he was always the one that was pulling the mood up and no one is taking that place. Rather than supporting him people are at him they are digging him, or that’s how he is feeling.”

But others weren’t so sympathetic. One pointed out that Ginge was upbeat and joking around when he was a camp leader and able to boss people around. When it was his turn to be on the receiving end of that, he changed.

“Partly because of how he and Aitch acted when they were camp leaders. Like… it was fine, they were joking around having fun and everyone knew that,” they wrote.

“But then when it was Shona and Lisa’s turn to do the same thing he was whiney and unhappy about it. ‘I’m not doing chores until they apologise for being rude’ etc. And now constantly complaining about chores when he didn’t have any do four days.”

Another agreed, referencing later actions as well, where Ginge, Aitch and Kelly Brook chose to eat half the sweets they’d run and only share a few with their campmates: “The mask has slipped. It was his idea to eat extra sweets but on social media Kelly is getting the blame.”

This followed Eddie Kadi’s revelation that Ginge was the one who suggested using cups to eat out of. He said on Unpacked: “[Ginge] said, ‘You’re using too many dishes’, so we switched to the cups. This was his idea to use the cups. Ginge just doesn’t want to do the dishes.”

The comedian added that it was understandable that Ginge was struggling as he had an easy time of it so far, having been a camp leader and getting to spend time in the treehousue: ““You have to understand. He’s from the royal family of the jungle, he’s spent too long in the treehouse. If you walk into the treehouse, it’s like Madame Tussauds.”
