The Mirror has details of a new Bushtucker trial which is being described as the toughest ever devised for the celebrities to contend with – and it’s all set in the dark
I’m a Celeb bosses have devised one of the most terrifying Bushtucker Trials ever, set at night. Four celebrities will take on Bugtime Stories this week to win treats for camp.
Like the infamous ‘Frightbus’ last year – widely accepted as the toughest trial of last year’s series – it will be a night challenge. A source said: “This is probably one of the most sickest trials ever, and comes at a time when morale is being tested in camp and when the celebs traditionally start struggling anyway being away from their friends and family. The other trials up until this moment will be seen as a walk in the park compared to this one.”
The trial will see the celebrities entering a giant children’s room and tuck themselves into a giant bed all together. In the bed, they must describe a famous book in just four words, but each time they’ll be given three taboo words they cannot use.

Meanwhile back in camp, the other celebrities will get a baby monitor and throughout the evening must try and crack the name of the books the four celebrities are telling them. In true Jungle fashion, the campmates in the giant bed will not be alone with a whole host of critters joining them in the dark.
Says a source: “Last year’s Frightbus was widely considered to be the worst trial yet…and it was certainly the noisiest with the amount of screaming. Bosses are expecting this one to easily eclipse that level of fear.”
News of the trial comes as the Mirror revealed how Angry Ginge is at the centre of a triple bidding war – before he’s even left the jungle. The 24-year-old’s team have been “inundated” with money-spinning offers – including a book deal, TV work and advertising campaigns.
A source close to Angry Ginge said: “Since the moment Ginge stepped foot in the jungle, the commercial interest has gone through the roof.
He’s been absolutely inundated with offers, far more than anyone predicted. Brands have very quickly clocked that he’s not just a viral creator; he’s genuinely relatable, he speaks the language of real people, and he connects with an audience that many big companies have struggled to reach.”
They are particularly interested in his “authenticity” having grown up in a council flat with his mum and sister. The source added: “It’s why he’s already being approached for several major long-term global ambassadorships with household-name retailers who want him fronting their campaigns the second he’s out.
“They see him as someone who can shift perception, shift product, and bring in audiences that traditional advertising doesn’t touch.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns tonight at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player. Meanwhile, I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked airs nightly after the main show on ITV2, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
