The final episode of The Celebrity Traitors is set to air in a matter of days, and the BBC has released a teaser trailer that hints at what is to come for the remaining players
The grand finale of The Celebrity Traitors is almost here, and viewers are gearing up to tune in on Thursday, 6th November at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer for the series’ final 70-minute showdown.
Fans have been on the edge of their seats as celebrities battled to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charities, and the new trailer, which was released today, has offered them a sneak peek at what’s coming next.
In the clip there is a close up of a clock striking twelve, and the remaining contestants — Alan Carr, Joe Marler, Cat Burns, David Olusoga, and Nick Mohammed — are shown walking through the eerie halls of The Traitors’ Castle.
Once they are sat around the Round Table, close-ups on each player reveal a mixture of anxiety and determination on their faces. Show host Claudia Winkleman delivers the chilling warning: “Players, this is it. Who can you trust? Who is on your side? For the final time then, the floor is yours.”
David looks particularly worried, and can be seen nervously closing his eyes and Claudia addresses the remaining cast members, while Alan also grimaces towards the camera. However, Cat, Joe, and Nick appear more calm.
The five finalists entering the finale were revealed on Thursday night (October 30), after the penultimate gripping episode saw GMB star Kate Garraway banished, despite actually being a Faithful.
After being told her time on the show was up when her fellow players voted for her as a potential Traitor, Kate told the group: “I’ve had a lot of years of being serious and very sad and you have all allowed me to play the most amazing game… I have and always have been totally myself. A Faithful.”
The series has been full of shocking twists, including the dramatic on-screen murder of Celia Imrie by her good friend Alan, which left fans outraged.
Now that the show is drawing to a close, Joe has finally revealed the strategy that he has been quietly working on, taking David aside in a corridor to whisper: “My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat, so they keep me in the game. And then I can try and pull the rug from under their feet last minute. Sorry Traitors, I’m coming for you.”
Fans on social media are already speculating that Joe may be the eventual victor after correctly figuring out the Traitors’ identities. Tensions among the contestants are becoming more heightened.
Alan did not manage to maintain a straight face when asked to declare his position as a Faithful to the group, which immediately put him under suspicion.
Cat and Alan have made a pinky promise to support each other and split the funds between their chosen charities if they win together, but Cat’s wording hinted at her suspicions that Alan might not pull through to the very end of the game.
After the finale, an extended episode of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked will air on BBC Two and BBC Sounds. Host Ed Gamble will be joined by the star-studded cast and Claudia Winkleman as they react to the climactic showdown and reveal unseen behind-the-scenes moments from the castle.
The finale was originally scheduled to air on Halloween, but BBC bosses decided to push it back to Thursday November 6, which has drawn out the anticipation for viewers who are desperate to know whether the Faithfuls will manage to uncloak the Traitors in the nick of time.
