Air India Express Issues Show-Cause to Pilot After Delhi Airport Assault Allegation

Air India Express has served a show-cause notice to pilot Virender Sejwal following allegations of assaulting passenger Ankit Dewan at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1. India Today’s Amit Bhardwaj reports that the airline has set up an external inquiry committee to probe the December 19 incident. The investigation will utilize clauses from labor laws as Sejwal falls under the ‘workman’ category. While Sejwal’s legal team claims the incident was misrepresented, the pilot remains off-rostered pending the inquiry’s outcome.
