‘Starting to doubt Slot’ or should he ‘be given the chance to get us out of it?’published at 16:05 GMT
Image source, Getty ImagesLiverpool fans and content creators have been speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside about whether Arne Slot should remain as Reds’ head coach.
As expected, it has divided opinion.
Abigail Rudkin said: “I am starting to doubt Slot. I don’t want to say that I don’t want him to be Liverpool manager anymore, but I don’t want to say I definitely want him to stay.
“One part of my mind is telling me he gave me the best moments of my life by winning the league, especially when we thought we would fall apart after Jurgen Klopp left, but it can’t go on like this.
“His decision making is upsetting me because he is continuing to pick [Ibrahima] Konate when [Joe] Gomez is right there.
“Some of his substitutions just look like he is throwing the kitchen sink at it right at the end of the game.
“It looks like the players have stopped fighting for him other than Dominic Szoboszlai. It is really hard to watch.
“I don’t see how he can turn it around but I want to have some faith that he can after what he gave us last season.”
Peter Philly Jones added: “In my lifetime, I have not seen many situations where we have had a run of form like this. It is worrying but I still think it is time to stick by Slot.
“I don’t think anyone can say the reason we are not winning games in a few words because it’s more difficult to work out than people realise.
“For that reason, I don’t think you can blame Slot.
“He got rid of some big players and signed some big players. We can’t ignore what happened to Diogo Jota.
“Admittedly, no one expected it to be this bad, but he has to be given the chance to get us out of it. He needs to do a lot, lot worse before I say it is time for him to go.”
