IndiGo flight status today: IndiGo has issued a fresh travel advisory after dense fog continued to affect flight operations in parts of the country, cautioning passengers that services on select routes may face delays and disruptions. In an update shared on X on Friday, the airline stated that persistent fog over Guwahati was impacting the arrivals and departures.
“The fog continues to hover over Guwahati, resulting in slower flight movements. Departures and arrivals to and from city, as well as certain routes across our network, may experience short delays as we work through the weather conditions,” IndiGo stated in its advisory on X. It also added that passengers should “check the latest flight status on our website or app before heading to the airport”. It was also “hopeful for the skies to clear soon, ensuring a smooth journey ahead.” The airline reiterated that it was closely monitoring the evolving weather situations.

Flight cancelled today due to forecasted bad weather
Alongside the advisory, IndiGo’s website listed several flight cancellations for December 26, 2025. The main reason behind the cancellations is the forecasted bad weather at Varanasi and Chandigarh airports. The affected flights include services connecting Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow and Hyderabad.

Fresh travel advisory for UP and Bihar routes
As winter fog and low visibility linger over Gaya, Gorakhpur, Patna, Darbhanga and Varanasi, IndiGo has appealed to travellers that flying to and from fog-prone airports to keep a tab on updates through its app and official website. The bad weather may impact the schedule of the flights at these places.
On Thursday, a total of 67 flights from multiple airports were cancelled due to forecasted bad weather. The carrier continues to operate a curtailed schedule under DGCA monitoring after large-scale disruptions that took place earlier this month.
Flight operations during fog window
Earlier this month, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu headed a review meeting with DGCA, AAI, CISF and airport operators to assess the preparedness for the winter fog period. He has directed all stakeholders to implement strict SOPs, make sure of full compliance and fix accountability for fog operations. He also stressed on real time data sharing, the use of CAT-II/III compliant aircraft with qualified crew and the activation of war rooms, as per a PIB release. These initiatives have been taken to keep flights running as smoothly as possible.
Clear directives were announced for maintaining safe and well-coordinated operations and keeping passengers informed in time so that they can plan their journey in a better way.
With the fog window between December 10 and February 10 now officially in force, IndiGo has appealed to passengers to track live updates on its digital platforms and allow extra time for airport formalities, particularly on weather-prone routes.
