Delhi AQI: Nearly three months after Delhi-NCR residents were forced to endure toxic air, the Delhi government’s multi-pronged measures to curb pollution have shown little visible impact. The Air Quality Index (AQI) continues to fluctuate between the ‘severe’ and ‘severe plus’ categories. On Wednesday (December 24), the overall AQI stood at 366 at 5 am, with several pollution hotspots recording levels above 400. Meanwhile, dense fog has gripped the city as winter intensifies, with residents waking up to a temperature of 9°C, expected to rise during the day. Poor visibility due to fog and smog has disrupted flight operations, prompting the Delhi Airport to issue an advisory for passengers scheduled to travel today.
