1355 Cricketers Register for IPL 2026 Mini Auction in Abu Dhabi

After the player registration deadline for the IPL 2026 Mini Auction on Sunday, November 30, it has come to light that an astounding 1,355 players have signed up for this year’s bidding battles in the world’s richest cricket league. The auction held in Abu Dhabi on December 16.

According to sources, Cameron Green stands out among the big names available, easing concerns for franchises ahead of his busy schedule. The Australian all-rounder, who missed the mega auction due to an injury, is one of 43 overseas players with their names listed at the highest base price of Rs. 2 crore.

Who Are The Biggest Indian Players in IPL 2026 Mini Auction?

Only two Indian players have put their names in the two crore base price category: Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi. Venkatesh sold for Rs. 23.75 crore in last year’s mega auction to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), while Bishnoi was retained by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Rs. 14 crore. Both released by their franchises last month.

Other prominent Indian players up for grabs include Umesh Yadav, Prithvi Shaw, and Sarfaraz Khan, who went unsold last year. Akash Deep, Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda, and Mayank Agarwal will also seek a new team after their release.

    The Big Names Missing

Glenn Maxwell is a major absence in IPL 2026 Mini Auction. Faf du Plessis, Andre Russell, and Moeen Ali are not on the list after announcing their decisions on social media earlier.

It is important to note that not all 1,355 players available, and a shortlist will be released closer to the auction. This time, KKR (Rs. 64.30 crore) and Chennai Super Kings (Rs. 43.40 crore) will have the largest budgets. Mumbai Indians (Rs. 2.75 crore) have the least to spend.  In total, there are 77 slots available, including a maximum of 31 overseas players.
